Mr. Shikhar Subedi presented a cybersecurity awareness workshop to the sixth graders at Mahendra Bhrikuti Secondary School. Mr. Subedi is the Information Security Officer at Bank of Kathmandu.
Teenagers frequently engage in dangerous behaviors like downloading questionable apps and opening links and attachments from unknown people/ sources. Mr. Shikhar talked about the dangers kids can encounter online and the significance of protecting their privacy for their safety.
There is always a chance of our security being compromised, past actions may come back to haunt us, and we may become the subject of abuse. We must be cautious and think twice before sharing any information online.
The program is an initiative from Biz Serve IT to encourage the development of cyber security awareness in the community so that everyone can understand and take responsibility for their cyber safety and cyber hygiene.
